The importance of the new paraplanner qualification |
Lucy Courtenay Education Director, Institute of Financial Planning |
Over the last few years the role of a paraplanner has been increasingly recognised as key for Financial Planning firms. Following extensive research, the IFP has defined the role of the paraplanner for the first time. It is clear that some people with the job title “paraplanner” are not paraplanning in the same way that some people using the job title “financial planner” are not planning. In this session, Lucy will explore the skills and competences needed for an effective paraplanner and introduce the new paraplanning qualification. There will be the opportunity to test yourself on some sample questions and see whether you are ready to take the qualification. You will see how it builds on existing qualifications and can lead onto becoming a CFP Professional.
